Is there a way to disable the drones so just the chanter is sounded? I know I can turn down the volume of the drones but I need to do that for each tune I'm trying to play, I can't seem to find a way to just turn them off and have them stay off each time I start the player.
Hi
I am just wondering if anyone knows how to contact the creator of this great app and how to make it 64-bit compatible.
I used this for years until my old laptop gave up the ghost, now this will not work on Windows 11. Please help.
Thank you
Dellboy, There is an update for both 32 and 64 bit windows at this site http://bagpipe.eotrs.dk/ I installed on my new 64nit laptop and it works fine now.
I've been using this for about 11 years now and it has helped me keep my ability to play tunes despite not being a member of a band. Thanks to all involved in developing and making this software available to the pipers of the world.
I am trying to load bagpipe player onto a friends new laptop computer. He has Windows 10! We ran into a few problems, but when I asked his computer to check compatibility, the computer installed Windows service pack 2 and Bagpipe Player loaded. Everything looked correct, but when a tune is selected and loaded all we see is a black screen. We also get a message that says missing fonts. Also, every single code for the tune comes up one after another with a message that says the file cannot be found. Any idea where I can get the correct fonts for Bagpipe Player?
Stephen Adams, you have to install it as administrator (Right-click on the file BP-player.exe and choose "Run as administrator") Once done and installed, the FIRST time you run it you have to again run as administrator (navigate to the installation-directory, Right-click on BGPlayer.exe and choose "Run as administrator" - Only first time though.)
That should do it
Wallis Short, tried this several times and it does not work on 64 bit Windows 10 operating systems. Apparently there are workarounds posted online but involve either manually transfer executables from an existing 32 bit system or purchasing an upgrade to a .bmw writing program.
